  • I agree but not all disabilities are obvious and super visible. My moms bestfriend has ms and some other conditions and uses a handicapped sign thing. She gets a lot of shit for it because she seems normal but she is in pain a lot.

If they don’t have a license plate or sign stating they’re disabled and parks in a spot for one it does in fact piss me off. So does all the cars in the no parking lane right in front of stores. Always a damn maze just to get groceries. Cause parking lots are overrated.

Most are obviously not disabled tho. Disabled parking should be for ppl in wheelchairs and shit. Not some fat dude

      • Yeah ik I hate when people abuse stuff and it’s easy to think some fat bastards just lazy and parks in a handicap spot. Maybe that’s the case but there’s still fat disabled people and maybe it’s not super obvious but they could have some serious illness. You can be ill and still have your legs but not be able to walk long distance.

Where I live handicap have either the license plate stating they have a disability enough to let them park there or a sign you put on your rearview mirror. If I don’t see that and some person seems fine yeah I’ll be mad. I doubt they just give those out unless actually requiring less distance than others. It’s illegal to park in that spot without proof visible that you are aloud in the spot. Idk about the South.

I get it I really do I don’t want some person abusing it whinning saying “my widdle armie hurts” and skipping out swinging handfuls of groceries. But not all disabled look disabled and could have serious issues causing them to need to be closer to the place. Ik it’s easy to judge but not all people are the way you look at them in first sight.

There are a lot of people out there like Stain faking disabilities just to sponge off the government and of course get good parking spaces.

YET, society's biggest concern lately is about how transgenders are living wrong or whatever.
Us transgenders try to stay out of the way and live normal lives while the disability fakers are sponging YOUR tax dollars. But let us focus on TG restroom laws instead.

I've heard of that garbage too... Politicians here in the EU waste a lot of time and money on TG restrooms, dressing rooms and trying to remove "mr" and "mrs" from business forms completely.

Instead on focusing on important stuff like border security...

Alright, are you serious that other nations worry about the same silly crap as the USA?

I am transgender myself and my take on the restroom thing is - we do not make a scene about which restroom we use. We never did. Our dipshit president gets in and suddenly it is a big deal. There are very few TG in the world, I am not sure why we get a disproportionate amount of attention suddenly.

I am not against TG rights of course but we usually try to blend in best we can, NOT stand out.

Dead serious, you'd be surprised how retarded the idiots that govern the EU from Brussels are...

There was a heated debate over pedestrian traffic lights... The little man walking was a MAN! Feminists actually protested, there were ideas that there'd be a man and a woman wearing a skirt, but that was sexist, cause not all women wear skirts...
So as far as I know, they just decided to leave the little traffic sign man and leave the interpretation to the imagination... Maybe it's a woman in jeans right?! Fucking morons...

There were ideas of plastering pictures of brutally murdered animals, gore and blood on meat products (similar to what cigarettes got) to reduce meat intake and animal cruelty. It didn't get passed.

As for TG toilets, I'd say just use whichever one you want and be done with it. It's a basic human biological need, no need to give it this much attention.

            Pedestrian crossing light -
I am actually surprised anyone paid that much attention to the sign.
In the USA, they used to just say WALK or DON'T WALK.
I think they switched to a person walking or a hand signal, maybe to accommodate the illiterates.

Often the disabilities cannot be noticed. If the car has the proper plate or placard the person has met the requirements determined by the state. Be certain before you judge.

Well I agree people who use them without disabilities are scum. If they have the thing that says they are disabled in the window, it probably is just a less noticeable disability.

It's none of your business. The person could have a heart condition. The person could be picking up their disabled family member.

I have a disabled placard because of congestive heart failure.

You don't know if someone is disabled just by looking. However they will have a disabled sign in their car if they are worthy of the space. Look for that rather than at them. If there's no sign then you are probably right that they are a scumbag

Well, first off let me day this as politely as I can. WAKE THE FUCK UP ASSHOLE. So now if you see me get out of a vehicle and I'm not limping, so you assume I am healthy as a horse and no medical issues that YOU CAN SEe OH MAsTER S'serER OF ALL THINGS THROUGH THE. I wOULD JUST HAVE to say to you " Excuse me please, but just because YOU can't see it. Oh and by the way is, I have one of them blue parking permits. Yes I walk fine, u do most everything else fine, EXCEPT see what's being thrown at me. I am by all medical requirements for state and federal guidelines to be declared "legally blind". Hmmmm how would you see that. Wait for me to run into somebody or something.,m iyx happened and it will happen again. So and this "disabled" status a sucks crap. I can't drive to the store a bb it to o go see some friend so, believe me that extra parking space a few feet closer -i I would LOvE TO return that blue parking permit in exchange for getting in my vehicle this summer and being able to drive to the coast a or just go drive bladtong yhd stereo, listening to what I want to listen too. So it's really cliche, but don't judge s book by its cover.

If they are clearly not disabled as in talking to them to move and them being an asshole. I just call the traffic police to ticket them.

I hate it when I see someone around my age take a disabled parking space and is clearly not disabled. I get it, you don't have to be in a wheelchair to be disabled. My dad has had heart surgery and has back problems. He is classified as disabled, has one of those signs he can hang in his car and can park in disabled spots.
But if you saw him on the street, you would never say he is disabled.

But young punks parking there, cause they are too lazy to walk are scum.

However, I will mention that I often park in "family spaces", or "mother spaces" even if I don't have children with no regret. There are lots of those spaces, so no big deal, they are wider than regular spaces, so less risk of door dings and they are convenient.

Normally I get ignored, very rarely an over-medicated mom decides to berate me and asks me "Why are you parked here? Where is your kid? I will notify mall management"
I'll reply "in the trunk" and drive away.

I just want to say that as a mother with lots of young children I think the mother and child parking spaces are fucking stupid. Yes, it is difficult to get all the kids out of the car and into a stroller in a smaller space, but that's just life. It doesn't make me disabled and I don't agree with the system. Get rid of those spaces and turn them into normal ones that everyone can use and stop making it even more difficult for people to park up outside a store

You see, you get it. Thank you. Parking spaces are parking spaces, let's stop making things up and just make parking easier for everyone. Besides, in 10 years we will probably never have to go to a supermarket and just order everything from amazon anyway...

The over-medicated mother that brought righteous justice to my sins by thumbing me down doesn't get it...
She's just pissed, cause she slowly hogs the left lane with her 12 seater full sized van, cause she has 2 children and people like me get annoyed and bully her into the right lane with xenon high beams and the horn.

Haha... 2 children in a 12 seater. That's so often then case and I don't get it - are they planning another 8 children in the next few weeks? I guess this is why we're supposed to need those giant parking spaces...

You should see my unruly brood pile out of the car - it's like a clown show. I squeeze them all into my normal sized car because I don't want to increase my fuel consumption and I hate not being able to park. I'm such an evil mother.

Anyway, yes, I hate those kind of mum's. I have to talk to them at school and it drives me nuts. They think I'm weird because I grow my own vegetables and I want to legalise marijuana. I don't go to their stupid meetings about how the school should be banning hummus because it's too fattening. I am the outcast and it feels pretty good. My advice to young women who tell me they can't decide whether or not to have kids is this - "the worst thing about being a parent is other parents. Just avoid as many of them as possible and you'll really enjoy having kids".

In a certain way, I can't wait until I'm a parent and have to go to boring school meetings...

Just so I can park like a douchebag. Then I'll completely ignore all the wannabe issues that get discussed. If the issue of food pops up, I'll say "I give my kids enough money, so I don't care". If my kid has done something, I'll respond "Kids make mistakes, it's the natural way people learn" and leave it at that. I do pray my girlfriend/ future wife is as blunt, or learns to be, as I am.
When the whole deal is over, I'll get in the car, wife by my side and set off in a flurry of wheelspin just to annoy the uptight parents at the school XD

Haha... I can imagine it now... "School lunches? I'm sorry, I thought this meeting was about how we can get even bigger parking spaces so I can start helicoptering my kids to nursery. Good day to you"
