What do you have in your garage? If your garage isn't too cluttered maybe you can just park your car in the garage which would be awesome if you have an attached garage. Apartment, condominium, or even townhouse living can be Hell when it comes to dealing with people who want to be a little too friendly, because there are too many opportunities to run into them.
Sometimes a pair of sunglasses, and really obvious headphones can help the situation, but that sort of thing tends to work better if you're jogging.
