Dreams are reflections of subconscious desires.No it doesn't necessarily mean that you have subconscious desires to be with a tranny lol, it could mean that you really think of her in a very masculine way or as "just one of the guys" but I'm no expert on interpreting dreams I suggest you read some literature by one of the worlds greatest psychoanalysts by the name of Sigmund Freud.
What you say is unfounded. No-one (Not even dream researchers) know why dreams actually happen, why our minds create them. Sigmund Freud believed as you do, but why then would people have repeating nightmares.
