  • Yes it is! I did an Essay on Legalising Marijuana and I found out that it has roughly the same LOW effects as Caffiene! Other drugs like Nicotine, Heroine, Alchohol, LCD, Ecstasy all have extremly dangerous effects as compared too Marijuana and Caffiene. It's a good drug anyways and makes you feel good and it's NOT dangerous either, it's good for your health! and besides there has NEVER been a SINGLE record of a marijuana overdose in history! unlike alchol which has hundreds of death related to it each year! I always wonder why marijuana isn't legal, it's one of and if not the most safest Illict drug out there.

    WOOO LEGALISE MARIJUANA!!!!!

    • Actually, it's not good for your health.

      • It isn't GOOD for your health, but it's also not as bad as the government demonizes it to be. Especially if you smoke it in a vaporizer it cuts the carcinogens to nearly 0.

        • But! Marijuana, like most drugs, stimulates the part of your brain that releases serotonin. Serotonin is the chemical that makes the high so good, and is part of the "reward pathway" in your brain. Over time, marijuana use will slowly make it increasingly difficult to feel that same joy/satisfaction. This doesn't just apply to drug use, either--any activities you used to enjoy will become less enjoyable. Basically, marijuana and other drugs are a short-term fix that results in long-term problems.

          • This definitely isn't true for marijuana. It's true for crystal meth. It takes being around these drugs to know that they are very different, and they affect people very differently.

That being said, some stoners can be a pain in the ass.

            • For me it is. I'm not saying this is how it works for everybody (though I suspect is for most, and they just don't want to admit it), and I'm sure this affect is not as bad as harder drugs would make it, but I can't enjoy anything without it the way used to before I started. I don't know if it's a chemical thing necessarily, but I can't help but think "This would be so much better if I was high." And if I stop smoking for more than a few days, I always fall into a deep depression. But the only time I feel like I'm being a good, productive, clear-thinking human being is when I'm not smoking all the time. When I smoke, I may feel a little better, but I'm not truly any happier because all I want to do is lay around and watch TV or listen to music, which in turn makes me feel like a boring, lazy piece of shit. But that doesn't stop me from continuing to smoke more. Unless you have a horrible experience the first time, you're never going to want to stop, and that is not a good thing, in my opinion. It's not going to stay as good as it was when you first started. It will be fun for a while, but it won't make you truly happy. It's a selfish thing to do when it comes down to it, and selfishness never leads to real happiness. Wish I had realized that a long time ago.

    • Actually LSD (and most psychedelics) are among the safest drugs you can ingest. Hell, they're even safer than a lot of America's most popular foods.
