Is it wrong that i see my step mom as my mom?

I ask this because some people seem to see step parents as a negative for various reasons. My own half brother thinks that a step parent is a nice way of saying beta and I even asked him did that apply to his mother and he said it was different because she's a woman and not a male. That pissed me off because I have a step dad as well and while I don't see him as a father he is a ok guy and I don't mind that he married my mom. So I guess the question should be is it ok to see a step parent as a parent?

Yes, it's normal. You can have a family relationship with people who aren't technically related to, and just being related doesn't make someone a better confidant or friend.

Honestly, stop trying to rank things & appreciate all the close relationships you can get hecause they are rare as fuck.

  • The good thing about a step mom is if she’s hot you can have sex with her.

If you do feel that way, then she will appreciate it. But don't do it to make her feel good, rather tell her what she means to you.

I think being a step-parent is harder on men than it is for women. Majority of people think that women are naturally nurturing, so it's acceptable for us to just pick up a random abandoned child and raise it as our own.

However, most men don't want to father another man's baby; most find it degrading. Being a good father is one of the most amazing things a man can do for his children, even if they aren't his biologically. Sadly, your bother wont understand that until he's older.
