I'm just saying it's a dumb reason to hit a child. A child should be able to understand the relation between his deeds and the consequences. Meaning if you tell a child not to do something and you punch it; It wont't do it again... As long as you are watching. As soon as your gone the child will do it just because it can. Because it never learned what was wrong about it. It just learned not to get punched. But of course the parents wearen't able to tell the child what was wrong about it. Because THEY never learned either.
Read my above comment that I made to @squeallikeasacofpigs because this should give you an idea of what I really mean. There were different forms and levels of punishment I received. If it was serious but not the end of the world, I would get a couple slaps of the belt on the face of my hand because I seemed to not be able to not break things in the house because of playing sports indoors lol. I never want to see a child cry or show signs of abuse but I do feel that some forms of physcial discipline, depending on the offense and how repeatedly they committed it that they deserve it.
Is it wrong for a father to slap their daughter that is 14 years old?
