Is it wrong for a father to slap their daughter that is 14 years old?

  • Hey man, I'm white and I sure as hell got shit beat out of me as a kid, but oh boy did I deserve it. I just don't think being white had anything to do with it.

    • I said anything about being white. It is about culture. There are Black Americans also. I just feel foreigners are more prone to physical discipline. I am not trying to offend you or anyone else. By the way, I have had White friends that got the same as you. I also would have to assume that you are above the age of 18 huh? I noticed this young generation gets off just a little to easily.

      • But no one can agree there are good and bad ways to physically dicipline someone.

Was this a slap to the face? NEVER okay.
Was it sudden and unexplained? also NOT okay.
Was it hard enough to injure you, including bruise? Not okay.

Was it explained to you why you were hit?
Was it a spank on the bottom, or arm?
Was it hard enough to feel, but soft enough that you weren't actually hurt?
        This is dicipline.

They never shed my blood or anything close but I did receive physical discipline. I always knew what I was in trouble for and was told not to do it before hand most times. I was not abused.

        • So you should be aware that the younger generations gets it easier which is not beneficial to them. Your parents are more traditional. Lucky us.
