Is it weird to try to find someone you haven't seen in over a year?

So a little over a year ago, I hung out with this kid a couple times and we liked each other, he wanted to date me but ended up getting mad cuz I had a boyfriend. We worked together and when he quit the job, we lost all contact. I saw his name in the paper the other day and thought about trying to find him. The only info in the paper was the street and town he's in. I posted on Craigslist to try to find him, no responses yet... he never really got online. Would it be weird if I called his father who's in the phone book and asked him for his number or something? Would the father and this kid think I was crazy if I did this? What if I called this kid and he didn't even wanna talk to me? Is this at all normal?

    Believe me you will regret it u list contact with my x over 7 years ago now I finally built up the courage to call his work n he answered and asked for my number been seein eachother pretty much everyday for over two weeks it was risky but i now have the love if my life back!! Good luck darlin
