Well for someone to do something so far out of character from their normal day to day ways, I would say yes, he's hiding something, or from someone. What's the chance he might have another gf or (bf)? I mean I'm a guy and I know how I was years ago. I was pretty much a whore. Bottom line keep paying attention to the small things that are out of his normal ways. If you find he is cheating or hiding hickeys, DON'T do the "BUT I LOVE HIM" and stay with him. Gather up your self respect and dignity and kick his ass out.

There was something that happened over the summer where one of his friends hit me up on Facebook and told me that he had cheated on me with a girl at a college party. I didn't want to hear it. So I asked my boyfriend and he denied it of course. But there was a text from his friend and my boyfriend. It said how his friend wanted to hook him up with a girl in exchange for me, and my boyfriend was down for it. This still haunts me to this day. And I don't know what the truth is. I will never know. I don't know whether to believe him or my boyfriend. Especially since this other guy wanted to hook up with me. So that's why something as simple as him wearing a hoodie is fishy.
