It goes both ways. I've met a few decent women on dating sites, but the last one..Wow, talk about zero conversational skills and my basically talking to myself most of the time when we met for coffee. At one point, I actually said to her, half-joking, "Don't talk much, do you? I'm trying here". That was one date that I was happy to get back to my car with only Panera coffee expense spent.
Have met several other weird ones. Woman who fed her two kids, even though they were more than old enough to eat on their own, another who's 11 year old daughter slept with her at night, one who, as things were heating up between us, was into choking during sex and pressed her thumbs into my throat (causing me to push her off, fast), and, more recently, a nice, cute blonde who took her time to tell me she was bipolar, on many meds, was a swinger, and, her live-in bf was coming home and he was "very possessive". Cute or not, I exited the situation.
I'm lucky to have a business group and personal friend who's not only sweet and sexy, but, is fine with our being FWB's with no strings attached. We also trade dating hell stories. She'll sometimes joke around and say "We should just be with each other and avoid all this dating crap".
