I met my long, tall Texan on Plenty of Fish, but I think it was certainly more the exception than the rule to be completely honest. I'm old enough to say that I used to meet a lot of guys on AOL, and 95% were just weirdo-horny-losers.
If you're going to try to meet people online you need to know who you are and what you stand for, it's the last place to tout the virtues of being open minded, because if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out. Don't be too open minded when trying to meet and date people from online, because you'll be putting yourself in a dangerous position and practically inviting people to take advantage of you.
