Is it true men never truly mature mentally but women do?

  • Men do fully mature, but we like to keep some of the childhood wonder. Especially for things we love.
Fast bikes, loud cars, boats, guns, whatever... You buy that for fun. You buy a boring family car for the boring daily drives, but you also buy an 80s sports car, or a motorcycle. Why? Cause it's awesome. It's a man toy. It's your way to escape the monotony and relive some of the wonder you got from things as a kid.

And I'm sorry, but if you buy a sports car and floor it through a tunnel and don't giggle like a schoolgirl afterwards and have a smile 2 miles wide - you're not human.

Same as picking up any roughly gun shaped object around the house and making a gun sound for the lolz. My wife asks me to get her hairdryer out. I get it out, aim it at her and say "Are you feeling lucky punk?". Or recite other action movie one liners. Most times she laughs. And that's good.
I'm being childish, but in a fun and good way that doesn't harm our relationship, or impede me from doing all the boring adult stuff.

Or when I pick her up from shopping, I abruptly brake, open the right door and say "Come with me if you want to live!" with an Austrian monotone accent.

So men do grow up fully, we just chose to sometimes act childish for the sake of fun.

    • The perfect response - thanks on behalf of all men who still hold that precious childish spirit within!
