Just call her up. It's normal if some of the reasoning behind wanting to apologize involves not wanting to feel like a bad person. If you feel bad over it, it's because you feel guilty. So see, it's not always THAT self-serving to feel this way. Just don't emphasize your own need for relief too much. Be selfless and about her. Go ahead and do it, but without expecting anything in return. You never know if she held onto that and needs closure to be released from it. I've received closure like this before and it really meant a lot.
