I think guys can want an FMF threesome for very selfish reasons. It all depends on the people involved, the dynamics of the original couple, their relationship to the second woman and what the intentions are.
It seems to me that MFM threesomes where both guys are straight and have no interest in any sexual contact with each other are usually pretty much the definition of unselfishness on the part of the guy in the original couple. Still, I have no problems imagining scenarios where the original man pushes the woman into the threesome for selfish - possibly very nasty - reasons.

Let's just call what it is. It's a power fantasy which is inherently selfish. That being said if your partner is into it to it's a win win but begging for a threesome is asking your partner to share you with someone else which is a turn off if commitment is high on her agenda.

I would disagree with that. Some of their significant others are the ones who suggest the threesome and arrange for the other partner. Others may not have suggested it but ensure that they are involved in the selection of the other partner.
There is a wide variety of normal sexual behaviors. Threesomes are rather tame as far as I'm concerned.
Of course, some Significant Others only allow them because they feel they must... and they may not wish to be involved (except that some of them wish to limit their partner to just 1 other sexual partner).
