Is it racist that i love paler skinned women

I had a argument with one of my brothers who thinks I'm a sellout because I find paler women very attractive. He says that I'm a puppet of a caste system that has infected the world were darker skin people are looked down on while fair skin people are looked at as better. Am I doing this because I don't care so long as the person I'm with is a woman and has a good personality it's just that I find paler women to be very very beautiful. I do feel kind of bad though is he right am I being manpulated into following social constructs?

    Dude your brother's a retard. People can't help what they're sexually attracted to. It's clear that you even kind of think that what you're attracted to is "wrong," so if you were to follow any social construct then it would be the one saying what you're attracted to is wrong. Your brother sounds like he'd be the same kind of person telling you that being gay was wrong if it were 50 years ago.

    We generally can’t help who we are attracted to. Your attraction doesn’t effect him so he should have no say. More and more society cares less about your skin color and more about your actions. As it should be.

      You don't know that at all. The most likely situation is that he's just naturally sexually attracted to lighter skin. Are they gays gay because they're influenced by "social constructs"?
