At least not only based on the numbers. It's entirely possible that the relationship is predatory, and for that to have nothing to do with the relative ages. It's not difficult to imagine a 26 year-old person to be in a predatory relationship with someone who's older.
As a rule, guys tend to reach emotional maturity a lot later than they believe and somewhat later than women, but a 26 year-old man should be grownup enough to understand what he's doing.
The nine year gap is a red herring. There's a huge difference between an eleven-year-old and a twenty-year-old. But once the younger person hits the mid-twenties mark, the significance of the age difference decline with every year, until there's not much difference at all between a sixty-one-year-old person and someone who's seventy.
Is it predatory if a 35 year old woman is dating a 26 year old man?

Thank you. I just wasn't sure if it's seen as bad or not because I don't notice the age gap when I'm with him
