Ask Your Question
Is it normal that I dislike it when someone posts something on is it normal then when he doesn't get 'nice' comments that agree with the post, they delete the post?
I always get notifications saying someone has replied to my comment then when I click on it the post has been deleted
It's so annoying. It says something like
404 page not found
It could be that:
1) The original poster deleted the post
2) The post was taken down if it talked about one of the three banned topics.
No, it was the OP
You really can't tell. Honestly Im pretty much positive the owner of this site is the only moderator. Some things get taken down for no reason cause its his website.
Theres no way of knowing. Banned accounts comments stay but show up as [Old Memory] but topics that are deleted just go away.
Apparently [Old Memory] can also be if the user tells IIN to delete their account.
I don't like posts getting deleted, I like to look back and read them
It's very disrespectful to others on here. Shuts off a window to discuss with eachother.
Most of the time it feels like they started something they can't finish, but I suppose it's their prerogative, and they have the right, and ability to remove their post just like they have the ability to remove comments if they so choose.
You know I think that it's normal if someone does it once or twice. But in almost all his/her posts? I'd rather not say anything offensive 🤐
I can't stand it when people post the same stuff every week, because they are hoping to get different answers, UGH.
Sometimes the owner of the website takes them down. its weird what passes here and what gets moderated.
Hey, some people are just really sensitive...
They reach out on these websites looking for support or to validate themselves anonymously out of fear of persecution or ridicule, but when they don't receive the approval they start to think something IS really wrong with them, they get embarrassed, and they delete it.
Or sometimes they think the post is stupid and they delete it after they get a certain amount of responses.
either way it's their decision.
This is true Triple-D.
Very much so, yes.
Also. I like Triple D! So thanks for the cool nickname!
You're very welcome!
Nothing here matters.
There have been many times when I've replied to queries that triggered my sympathy or intrigued me with quite long posts (well, okay, often it was due to me being bored as much as anything) and they've vanished. I assumed the OP had second thoughts about sharing their secrets on the internet and deleted the thread. Maybe they read what I wrote and it was helpful; maybe nothing I said made any sense or I pissed them off; maybe they didn't bother to trudge through my mini-essay. It doesn't matter to me. It's not like I think my opinions should matter a damn to anyone other than those close to me IRL.
Boojum i always read your posts. So know at least someone is
Normal and I'm guilty of doing that.
Finally the judge has pleaded guilty😒
Its just saying in all honesty.
