Is it normali dont have confidence

Most people have some level of insecurity regarding their appearance so you are not abnormal. I think the question you need to be asking is not "how can I find out the truth?" (regarding your attractive-ness) but rather "how can I overcome my lack of confidencs?". Remember that attractive-ness is subjective so what one person considers handsome, another may not. Try to just be yourself, most girls (well the ones worth getting to know) are more attracted to a decent guy with a good personality than a typically handsome guy who is an asshole. As cliche as it sounds, if you believe in yourself others will too :)

I think of myself as a handsome guy but when I get anywhere near a girl, my confidence in my looks just shoots straight down to the bottom lol

You are def. not the only one. I am a girl and growing up I was told I was pretty and well after a couple bad things happened in my life, like breaking up with my first serious boyfriend. My confidence went from 90 percent to 30. So... just don't give up and do things that will give you self confidence. And don't let things bother you so much.

I know how u feel, I myself as a guy also look into the mirror and know that Im an attractive guy because Ive been told a lot of times by girls, but also lack confidence in myself due to some mental issues I have.I used to be a very confident kid with no worries at all until my sophmore year I began to lack confidence and lost all of it since then.I am very confident in the way I look and dress well but still have some low self esteem issues that I cant overcome.Your'e not the only one:)
