I think you should keep your word. That being said, I think it also highlights the problem in a relationship where you're both doing things you'd rather not. It can be difficult to set healthy boundaries, for yourself and within a relationship. Maybe just take this as a learning experience that your wife is serious and think about your evenings in full dress the next time you ask your wife to do something that makes her uncomfortable. Finally it's only going to be as uncomfortable as you make it for yourself, so as long as you focus on having fun over worrying what other people will think you will still have a nice holiday.
I take your point but there's a big difference in my mind between something that's one occasion and a bit uncomfortable/risque but a bit of fun. Where as this is 2 weeks of challenging and somewhat humiliating experience for me. She said yeah but she's dressing up to as a man, but I see the 2 as very different. She will probably wear mostly jeans trainers etc which women often wear anyway.
