  • Read my post. You can't buy meat on $112 a month and expect to sustain yourself. You buy staples, such as pasta, potatos, canned vegetables, rice, beans and that is abouy it. You obviously have no clue about being poor. What was that Rachel Ray show, $30 dollars a day 😂😂😂 try supplement a family of three on $3 a day. Fucking retard.

    • Um read all my posts. I said protein, that is not restricted to “meat”. I bought 5lbs of chicken breast with ribs for $4 today. That is 6 healthy servings, more if you make a stew or hearty soup. Beans are also protein and can be served a dozen ways to supplement “meat”.
And didn’t you grow up in Australia working on a farm anyway? So you could buy a dog? Poor people don’t buy dogs. Learn to read and get your bullshit stories straight. Stupid jackass.

      • Even if you did 6 servings is 2 meals for 3 people and you are $1 over your daily food allowance. So guess what no third meal and skimp tomorrow.

        But you didn't.

            • If you managed to keep any of your lies straight, no one would call you out.

You're doing surprisingly well for someone who was dying less than a week ago. Or did you forget that you posted that?

              • I didn't post that, so get your facts straight. Also check other recent threads where I answered as to my condition. God I just love you so much.

      • Right cause people never move.

5lbs of chicken breast with ribs for $4 huh. Ok buddy.

        • People with low income don’t buy dogs, period. SNAP is a supplementary (read partial) program and the use of “food stamps” ended nationwide in 2004, yet you’re a 19 year old “girl” and moved from Australia. You would have never heard that term. Keep going buddy, we can do this all day. This persona you’re maintaining is keeping everyone entertained.

          • Riiiight, once again I am unable to listen to radio, read or watch t.v or listen to people talk. Where on earth would I ever gain understanding of the term food stamp, considering I was on them.

As for your moronic dog theory, every sheep farm has working kelpies and a breeder nearby.

Regardless, ou also fail to comprehend that life circumstances change and people come on hard times.

Which exactly proves my point. You've never been poor, and you have no idea what you are talking about.

I am done justifying myself to a moron. Good day to you.

        • I really need to move to where you can buy 5 lbs of breast for 4 bucks. I have some in my freezer right now marked $1.79 per lb sale price.

          • Me too. The cheapest i saw yesterday was bone in, $1.90 a pound (fresh). Frozen tyson boneless breast was $9.95 for a 3.5 lb bag.

But apparently this poster used double coupons or something and probably purchased meat that was about to expire.

            • I did get a 40 lb box of large chicken thighs for 45$ recently. Had thighs coming out of my ears for 2 months. Breasts, no.

    • Perhaps your inability to survive on $3 per day is contributing to your poverty. The first trick is to buy Mac N Cheese by the case. It's more calories per dollar than anything else. Peanut butter Jelly sandwiches are cheap carbs. Brownie mixes, Ramen Noodles, and cook-it-yourself oatmeal are also caloric bargains.

On $3/day you'll have more than enough to quickly become obese and develop type 2 diabetes. In fact, this is what the poorest 20% usually do. Stop whining about being hungry. Hunger is for super models, anorexics, and under-developed African countries.

      • I didn't whine. I survived. For a rich man you don't read very well.

        • Glad you survived. But, you make it sound as if it is difficult to eat on $3/day, when in fact it is very easy. I would never suggest that working class people shop at Whole Foods like I do.

          • Like I said, learn to read, or do math at least. $1 a day.

Whole foods is over priced garbage.

            • Yes let's do the math, shall we? SNAP pays $197 per person per month at the present time. You are 19 years old born in 1998. Using an inflation calculator indexed to the CPI, we find that $179 equaled $118.97 when you were born. This would have given you $3.97 per person per day for food back then. Hell, with that much money you could have afforded frozen pizzas.

I can see that analytical skills are not your forte. Yes, you lived in Australia, but the flaming liberals in the labor party want to destroy your ex-home by making it a socialist paradise.

Better Google up the dole on Google.com.au. You're not fooling anybody.

    • No one would begrudge a poor person rice pasta potatoes and canned food. Soda, chips, chocolate, and ice cream are luxury items which I don't feel has a place in a NUTRITIONAL program...

      • Agreed. Since leaving my family home and being out on my own I haven't touched a dime of tax payer money and never will again. We did have church meals the first few weeks.

I didn't ask to be born into a hell hole family and I did the best I could.

The people on here saying a box of expired food is good stuff, would perhaps begrudge people. I pray they are never poor and suffering.
