Is it normal want to wear the opposite sex clothes in public?

I'm a female and most of what I wear comes from the men's department.
The worst I've gotten has been from my family accusing me of being gay...
Most of the people I've met have been very understanding:) It's normal, but be prepared, not everyone will be understanding. Just be yourself:)
