I did not say this, nor did I ever imply it. However, it the OP were to go to a doctor they would probably be prescribed "medication" that would increase serotonin levels unnaturally. This is unhealthy for the brain and either causes or WORSENS any "chemical imbalance" that there might have nor might not have been there. I understand that there are some cases where "medication" may help, but they are usually few and far between. We have a society that dictates we should have a "pill for every ill". I hope your medical background does not teach you this, for it is flawed.
No it does not teach me this. You should be aware he may be one of those extreme cases. I did offer him an alternative before even implying medication. Medication can also be herbal as you have stated before. Diet, exercise, and setting should be changed first to see if he has a positive response to that treatment. If all else fails, medication may be necessary. I never wish to put anyone on anti-depressants or any pill that alters mood.
Okay, then we are much alike. That's pretty much exactly what I was saying myself. It just seemed like you jumped straight from sex to meds in your recommendation of treatment.
I'd love to have someone like you as a family doctor then. I'd prefer someone who doesn't jump at the first chance to prescribe a pill. ^_^
Lol no problem. Great minds think alike. I did leave a big enough gap from sex to medication, that I will admit lol. But yes, he should try all of your alternatives before resorting to medications. Can make the situation much worse. It is only a temporary fix.
Is it normal waking up wanting to die?
