Is it normal vulva itchiness

So I gave myself a brazilian wax with some homemade sugaring wax last week and a week later, the area around my vaginal lips has been itchy and it feels like I have grains or sand in my vagina sometimes. I guess b/c of the discharge/smegma or whatever. This was my first brazilian. Is this normal?

    Anything can create itchiness down there. Maybe you got irritated down there from something in the wax.

    It's been 2 weeks since I waxed but my hair grows back fast. I'm not sure if it's supposed to itch or not since some people say it doesn't itch when you wax
