  • Oh, I'm sure nobody will mock you :) There's something down-to-earth and reliable about a good strong northern accent ^_^

I've resisted the urge to even listen to mine from the site so far, in case I get too self-conscious about it! :/ Like you said, we Brits are needlessly self-conscious about our accents :/

    • Btw, I really loved your accent:D! Especially the way you say "outside", that made me laugh:P. Yay to not being chickens!

      • Yay! We both did it :) Yours was as lovely as I hoped; it was one of the ones I'll admit I giggled during (in a good way, of course :D). It's so strange not being able to tell accents at all from the way we type :)

        • Hehe, thanks:D! I can't believe how embarrassed I've been over my voice/accent, I'm so silly-_-. And I know, hearing people's voices has changed the way I read their comments completely. Your comments will now be read in a posh farmer accent:P!

    • I'm actually really glad yours is up because I think it's most people's idea of an English accent (even though there's no such thing). It also kind of highlights how non-standard my accent is. Between the four of us, there's a really good mix. Shame we're all English, though, as opposed to Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish, or Manx. :/
