Is it normal? using ring finger on touchpad/mouse

Is it normal to almost never use your pointer finger to operate the touch pad mouse on your laptop? I'd say I use my middle finger to work the mouse about 50% of the time, my ring finger about 50% of the time. Ever since I got my laptop I've been doing this, and have never so much as plugged in a peripheral mouse.
Does anybody else with all their fingers do this?

    I don't see the problem. I always use my middle finger for that.

    I don't think I haveever seen this. But it's not a bad thing
