Amen to that Ellenna! I LOVE IT when you talk this way, because it's like mother's milk to me. I believe firmly that we are all powerless over the though, feelings, ideas and opinions of others. I personally believe that no is a complete sentence. Not to attack OP in any way, but I'm so sick and tired of posts where people are basically asking for advice on how to convince someone to do what he or she doesn't want to do.
