Is it normal to write freely about problems only on the internet

I cannot talk to many people about my problems. I shy away from becoming personal at all because I am afraid of being judged by them or of them abusing my trust.

Yeah if you do not ever want to tell someone in person, then it might benefit you.

I think most people feel the same. Part of it is the anonymity, but even without that I notice that people are more willing to share intimate personal details and opinions online than irl because it just feels so much less personal

I agree. I think the reason it feels less personal is because you are not standing there face to face and seeing that person's reaction.

I agree, It is also because some people want to avoid awkward conversation. It is better to express those opinions online rather than in a personal setting so to not risk leaving a bad first impression.

Yes, a lot of people are like this. They feel more free to be themselves on the Internet as a faceless and anonymous person, because they don't have to face the same consequences of being judged by people they know in real life. Being judged online is different in that you don't know these people and it is very likely you will never meet them in real life, much less see them and deal with their judgment on a regular basis. It's the same reason people can be unduly harsh and cruel online as well. They won't get punched through a screen, and they won't have their name and reputation dragged through the mud if they are anonymous. Plus, it is easy to block people instead of having to hear backlash.

I would just caution against getting *too* personal or detailed to the point to where you could be identified, of course. I choose to remain vague about a lot of details of my life online in order to avoid this.

It's the same way with me. Its easier to just express everything when they are strangers on the internet.
