Is it normal to worry about your future?

You might want to start by not being on this website. It's quite mind-numbing

I just worry about being homeless, let alone an electable politician.

Just become a criminal. You'll end up in the parliament soon enough (or whatever is leading your country).

Join some political party as a member, and join in to drop leaflets or help them canvas the neighbourhood. You need to work your way up through their ranks for them to put you up for election. Unless you want to stand as an independent candidate, less chance of success though.
