Is it normal to wonder what is it normal users do for work?

I'm a self employed farmer and inventor of sorts. I've had to work for "the man" before as a bartender, which I loved. I've had a few other random jobs not really worth mentioning.

I spend a lot of time telling other people what to do.

I work in construction. Fire protection, sprinklers to be more precise. Yep I save buildings and people. I feel like a fire fighter without the abs.

I am a student, I dont know what im going to do when im older but im taking different subjects each year to have a selection to choose from when I decide to work. I am currently doing animal care (which I couldnt much care for) and next year when I move again I am going to study criminology.
