It is not abnormal to wish that you have no emotions, they make things harder throughout everyday life. Without emotions you would not care what happens to people in your family, or your friends, or even to yourself. Emotions are not always a bad thing, they are one of the things that humans and other animals use to grow. I do not show a lot emotion myself, I council others on a regular basis that do not show a whole lot of emotion until I figure out just the right things that will "set them off" and then the emotions just pour out. There is a psychological term for people that have truely have no emotions (I just looked through my PDR for it, but kept coming up narsicistic disorders, depression, and bi-polar disorders). Everything that you mentioned is normal in terms of wanting to stop and aviod confrontation, but the fact is (barring a psychological disorder) we all have emotions, some of us are able to bury them, and some people just let them comeout all the time. As long as you have control over your emotions in a healthy way, that is to say, as long as you don't let your emotions run everything that you do or allow you to do things that you otherwise would not have done (slashing a girlfriends tires if she breaks up with you, or something to that effect0 then they are a healthy and normal part of every day life.
