Is it normal to wish to be a fairy/ faery?

Ever since I was young, I've never wanted anything more.

I know it sounds selfish, but I'd drop everything and completely give up this life if it meant i could live as a fairy.

I wish a flower gave birth to me, and I could fly freely (I don't even care about wind, rain or birds), and I was small enough to fit in a shoe with much more to explore and do, and enjoy all the beautiful nature around me.

I want the cool fairy talents and untamed lifestyle. I want to create harmless mischief and innocent pranks.

I just want out of this world! Surely I can't be the only one that would rather live in the land of Pixie Hollow.

    I admit that I feel the same, except I would like to be a werewolf or some other kind of shapeshifter. It would be awesome to see and experience the world from another perspective/s. I know it's not going to happen, though. :( Stupid boring reality.

    As long as you don't think you're a fairy as well. I had a friend who was like that in grade school.

    Honestly, it's just a form of escape from the world so I think it's fairly normal, although most people probably won't see it that way.

    You're a romantic. You love fantasy. I bet you love ballet and Tchaikovsky (I do). The way YOU described it, anyone would want to be a frickin' fairy. Why don't you become a fantasy writer instead? Then you can live in fairy-land inside your head for the rest of your life and get paid for it.
