I have a somewhat similar sentiment. I'm mainly an FPS and ARPG player and I've had to stop playing some FPS campaigns. For example in CoD Black Ops there's an interactive sequence in a cut scene where you have to put glass in someone's mouth and then punch them in the face, while they have glass in their mouth, which is just sick. It doesn't add to game play and is unnecessarily, gratuitously violent.
Is it normal to wish there were more video games that are not violent?
