A "mental disorder" is just a disorder that effects the mind. It doesn't matter if it's genetic, from a virus/bacteria, from the environment, from a series of bad choices that turned into a habit(addiction), or a combination of some or all of the above.
Schizophrenia itself is a very complex disorder and scientists doubt it can be narrowed down to a single cause for every case, so it's very possible it could be due to a virus. There is one germ that makes rats sacrifice themselves to cats instead of trying to hide which has been implicated in leading to schizophrenia in humans.
IIN to wish that some babies will have something wrong in them ?
