Is it normal to wish strangers would ask for one-night stands?

There are so many times when I'm sitting next to someone, or see someone standing across the room who catches my eye, and I think, "If she asked me if I wanted to go have sex right now, I would totally do it." Is that weird? Or do a lot of people secretly wish a stranger would just be blunt and ask for sex? I just have to wonder if there are people who want to go do the sideways tango with each other, but neither one asks due to social norms.

    Spontaneous sex with a stranger is hot but asking for it or suggesting it with no foreplay has to be the biggest turn off. No challenge, no mystery, no big deal.
