Mental Illness has been poorly diagnosed in my family since the 1950's. I went to my first funeral when I was a Junior in High School. It was for my Grandfather whom my Mother had taken to the doctor for an evaluation, and the doctor told her he had "hardening of the arteries". This was 1965 and he was depressed. He had a fear of becoming an invalid so he planned his suicide, and subsequently shot himself in the head.
Is it normal to WISH for the tampering down of mental health stigma?
