My boyfriend never takes them off during sex, making me start to think he might be hiding some lizard scaly birth defect. When I try to take them off he grabs me and wont let me!! He refuses shower sex and I think this could be why!
He might have a toenail fungus or discoloration that he's embarrassed about. He could also hate seeing his feet or being barefoot. I doubt seriously that he's secretly Doctor Connors a.k.a. Lizard Man. If you're so bother by this, why don't you just ask him?
I'm gonna guess that he has an ingrown toenail or athlete's foot or something. Doesn't look pretty.
Or maybe he's mega turned off by feet and doesn't even want his in the picture?

I occasionally keep them on for traction. Gotta keep planted on the floor, hate slipping too much. In fact the socks you get at the hospital with the rubber grips on them are even better.

I wouldn't say he's a lizard man. Where socks during sex can increase the chances of orgasm. Personally I hate wearing socks while gettin down, but have tried it and it's true. Though it is a bit odd that he wont have shower sex.
Personally I hate being bare foot at any point in time (Except select situations like showering or swimming). I find most materials to be very uncomfortable if touching my feet. Wearing socks is so much more comfortable to me. Including during sex.
Why don't you just ask him why he won't take his socks off?
The last guy I was in a relationship with had HORRID feet (and always kept socks on).
