Is it normal to wear snow pants as an adult around town?

People wear coats, why not coats for their legs? I've never understood why more people don't do this. Am I really not normal?

    I think keeping the upper body warm is quite enough, I don't usually cover my legs in winter. Sometimes it's chilly but it's fun that way.

    You obviously have never been to a ski area in the winter. I used to live in Alaska and I wore snow pants all the time when I was going to be outside for extended periods. If I had to go to the store, or whatever, I didn't take them off I just wore them. I wasn't alone, a lot of people did too.
