With little money a lot of us our doing this now..though I try to use old clothes for craft or recycle them afterward. I made a little bag out of an old pair of jeans using the back pocket as an extra feature. Also made a draw string dog treat bag and also just finished making a jewellery hanger so my necklaces aren't tangled now. (Just a metal coat hanger, wooden clothes pegs attached then strips of cardboard with fabric wrapped around them hanging by the pegs and the jewellery is wrapped around each strip of card . They're all far from perfect but with no money its a symbol of my life.
Your shoes look good from the pic...if their uncomfortable have you tried just putting an insole in them to help cushion the blow under foot?
(And never under estimate the power of super glue - though please wear disposable gloves with this..I almost got banned from using the superglue in my old job for misuse! ;))
Is it normal to wear clothes until they disintegrate?
