Typical symptom of OCD Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. I'm sure you have many other "rituals" like the one you mention such as checking if your door is open many times, you count numbers and stuff, and seek for patrons in normal things sometimes. If you can relate to some of these things see a therapist.
