Is it normal to wash a pair of shorts only once during the summer?

I have a favorite pair of shorts that I wear every day during the hot summer. I sweat in those shorts and fart while wearing them. I noticed the other day that they were starting to look dirty. So I took them off and smelled them and discovered that the portion covering my butt reeks of the smell of baked sweaty ass! Part of my shorts literally almost smelled like shit! I eat at Taco Bell maybe once a week during the summer and that cannot possibly be helping!!! So I put them back on and wore them several additional days until finally washing them.

Is it normal to only wash a pair of shorts one time during the summer even if them smell like rank ass?
