So my mom is basically an awful human being. She makes promises, only to break them the very same day. She takes credit for my girlfriend helping me get through high school (studying for finals, finishing credit recovery, etc.), and punishes me severely for sticking up for myself when she's being a nutjob. She expects me to show respect when I don't get any from her. Is it normal to wish terrible things upon her? Here are some examples: She has caused my girlfriend so much stress it has literally given her an ulcer. She's left me crying in my closet screaming "Asshole" at me. She threatens to kick my ass and kill me on an almost daily basis. Am I justified in wishing ill happenings on her?

    No matter how bad your mom is shes still your mom and the very reason you can even type this out today, you only get one mom, please remember that, now my mom wasn't nearly as bad as yours sounds, but she passed away this year, she wasnt old or nuthin only 50, (im only 20 btw) so becarfull what you wish for, you never no what could happen.

    Oh, you guys are gonna love this. Today, I got hit by a car. She's mad at me for lying about getting a flat tire on my bike, expects me to finish all my chores still, and won't take me to the doctor because I was on the wrong side of the street. I deserved it.

    Oh yeah, it's always normal, but she seems to kinda deserve it! Wish ill happening all you want just don't think of completing them yourself.

    my mom is abusive too thats why as an adult I have no contact with her or my father. You need to get out of that environment. It's normal to feel that way when your being treated so poorly. But don't act on it, It will only make things worse. Someday years down the road you'll probably loose the anger and just feel sorry for her beings a pathetic human being

    Then you need to call child protective services! If ur siblings still have the live with her for at least another 8 years then that tells me that they really can't defend themselves very well. Sounds like you have tried. The next logical step would be to call CPS and get help for your siblings. Good luck!

    but then u shouldnt had wish something bad happen to your mom..you could only get a MOM in your whole life.You will regret it one day for what you said.Trust me..

      Not at all though. I've felt bad for her plenty of times and forgiven her bullshit, told her what she needed to change, and gave her weeks of no backtalk while just taking her verbal beatings like a slave, and she just doesn't get any better. I try so hard to just deal with it, but she literally makes me sick to my stomach, and it's not long before that happens to the other kids too.

    I feel bad for you, but wishing her bad makes you kinda like her. Focus on the positives in your life, ie your gf and do what you can to move out. Try finding her some help. Good luck!

      See the thing is, she uses every bit of power over me she has to make the relationship hard and stressful. And we've both gone to counseling. She improves that day, then the next has her fits and all that. It's beyond help, and I seriously fear for my siblings that still need to live with her for at least 8 more years. I'm going to move out ASAP and all that though, so I'm doing all I can to get away from it.
