Is it normal to want to wash dishes at restaurants?

Is it normal to go into restaurants, eat, and then request afterwards to volunteer to do dishes, even though you already paid for your meal and don't need to, simply because you feel like helping out and want to be a good person?

Personally I do feel bad when I just leave my dishes on the table, but I remind myself that it’s the job of the people that work at the establishment to take care of the dishes. I typically stack up the dishes nice and neat so it’s easier for them to pick up and carry into the kitchen, that way I’m at least helping a little bit.

Damn... Wished you live near me, I could let you do my dishes too. I hate doing dishes and I have a dishwasher. I still hate it.
