Is it normal to want to stuff your animal after they die?

  • When your cat dies, you should have a good cry about it and let it all out. However, to keep you comfortable when he dies, introducing a new cat(or kitten) in the family can help you a lot! This isn't seen as replacing, it's showing you have the will to stay strong and keep the cats in your family. Also, if you're cat is about 4 (guestimating you got your cat around the time you were diagnosed with depression) it still has a long life expectancy. My friend's cat is currently 25 years of age (another whole 21 years!). When it does die, there are many methods of burial/memorial. A few examples:

-Incarnated into ashes then forged into a gem then crafted into jewellery.
-Get the insides cleaned and then stuff the cat (I personally don't think this is going to help you moan the loss of your cat)
-Get a bag, Bury it in your backgarden or a pet cemetery (this will depend where you live).
-Give it to your local vets and they'll dispose of it.

    Hope this helps!
