As for shy, lots of guys are shy, I'm shy in person. But I got a lovely girlfriend. So I'm cool. I touch her and make out with her all the time cause we're comfortable.
If that level of comfort isn't there you should probably do something and stop whining about it on the internet. This isn't rocket science. The question was "Is it normal I want to make out this badly?"
