I know what you feel like because i had temporary tinnitus caused by an inner ear infection. I remember having terrible insomnia the first night. I don't see why it would be illogical to sleep with a fan.
I assume running a fan all night takes a lot of electricity compared to running that white noise machine someone described earlier.
Is it normal to want to listen to a constant noise to help you sleep?
