My city had those planted all over town, until some university students decided to eat them and one has permenant brain damage now. After that happened, all of the plants were destroyed.
I have them in my garden too. A yellow one and a dark purple one.
The ones I have are white. They are so pretty but I'd never eat them. You can make tea too. If you sleep close enough to them they will highly influence your dreams. I'll just admire them from a safe distance. And make sure my dogs don't go near them :/
They stink during the day, but OMG they smell good at night! Like flower-scented French milled soap. I love how they constantly produce those massive trumpet shaped flowers too. Mine are only a foot and a half high this year, but I want to grow them into tree/bushes.
I think you and I have similar tastes (no pun intended) in flowers. I noticed you mentioned portulacas before... I love those and grow them too.
Is it normal to want to know how to identify psilocybin mushrooms?
