Is it normal to want to have someone

It's not weird at all. I feel this a lot of the time actually.

Humans are gregarious, period!
What's NOT normal is sitting on your ass on your computer moaning "oh, poor, poor lonely me". Get off your ass and get laid. Learn how to talk to women, learn what they like and learn what they don't.
I'm 66, I have a 25 year old girlfriend and have been w/hundreds of women. I'll give you a tip, free; Ask a woman you like if she would like to go out with you, to a comedy club! It's a wonderful first date, you don't need to be 21, but they do serve booze if you are. They also have food. And most important, the comedians will entertain the lady so that awkward first date conversation won't ruin the night.
Women LOVE a man with a sense of humor and would much rather laugh than cry (at a chick flick). Afterwards, you're on your own buddy, but you are at least with a pretty happy (and comfortable) girl, so look to her for your guide as to what she'd like to do next. Desert at a pastry shop is always a good idea, if nothing is developing (how decadent!).
So stop moaning and get to work. You can do it; "I think I can", you can do it; "I think I can".......
