I'm a highschool student and there is this underclassman I barely know that I'm obsessed with. Every time I see him I want to befriend him and shower him with affection as one would a cute cat (like in a non~ sexual way?).......Is that normal?

    I do this sort of thing all the time with my younger brother. he's cute and acts cute so i treat him like a pet, letting him lay his head on my lap and petting him while watching tv, feeding him little snacks from my hand. its perfectly normal

    sounds like you have a crush, but not like a relationship level at this point. i have a feeling that he will get your affection and the wonder if you like him and such. so either two things happen at that point, you agree and then a relationship starts or you disagree and he feels awkward. just pay attention to the way he acts. if you want to maintain this state dont allow him to think you like him unless you actually do.
