  • It was overrated if you ask me. People were more racist, sexist and homophobic. It wasn't any safer than today in my opinion except there wasn't as much traffic so I suppose the roads were safer to a degree, tho I know of many people who would drink and drive, and have races in cars, but in the same town today you couldn't get away with that, as we have speed cameras and speed bumps! And all those large coins in your pocket! (I'm from uk). And when mobile phones came out they weren't much smaller than bricks and there were no iPods and laptops and all that technology we have now. School was so different then! I'd rather today, but then I have lived through both and can compare. And we didn't know any different. Ok, I feel old now :0(
