Is it normal to want to find my birth parents?

Recently, I've been crying a lot a night and wanting to find my birth parents. I was going to send an email to the social welfare department but I didn't. I just don't want my parents to find out...

I'm adopted and found my birth parents. It was a fantastic experience with my mom, but not so much my dad. If you do decide to search, make sure you prepare yourself for any situation-good or bad. You never know what you might find.

Go for it! Even if your experience with them ends up being bad, at least you will have met them. Then, you won't have to keep thinking about wanting to meet your both parents.

Most people I knew that felt like you did went on a journey to find their bio parents. Their experiences weren't great.

I think no matter what you do you should talk to your real parents (not the biological ones). Explain that you love them so much but you 'd like to find your biological parents.... i don't think they'll say no :o

I think it's normal for someone who was adopted to want to find his or her birth parents. One of my cousins married a girl who was adopted and she finally found her birth parents, but it was not a good experience for her.
